I was so hesitant in making this phone call, when eventually I did, I spoke with Caroline. I was so worried about being judged, instead I heard such a kind voice telling me it's OK.
The most hardest decision I've ever had to make was rehoming my gorgeous boy Teddy, but deep down I knew he deserved more than what I could ever give him.
Caroline made me feel so at ease, just hearing the love in her voice for these beautiful dogs I knew I got in contact with the best place possible.
Not long after, Caroline phoned me saying they had found Teddy's new home. He was picked up last Saturday, by the most kindest lady (I was in such a state I can't remember her name) she hugged me and said it will all be OK. Saying goodbye was just the worst, I was in so much doubt that this wasn't the right decision, I knew though I'd be selfish to keep him.
The communication within this charity is absolutely incredible. Caroline not long after Teddy was collected called me to see how I was, the support I'm so grateful for. When Teddy arrived at his new forever home, I was messaged informing me of this along with some beautiful photos, of him meeting his big brother another gorgeous Teddy! They seem inseperable. You all totally take such care and thought in your work matching the best family to our lovely babies. I miss him so much, but seeing the photos makes me see I've done the right thing for Teddy.
The most hardest awful time, you Caroline made it so much easier for me. I can't thank you enough. Also a massive thank you to the lady who collected Teddy.
You're all amazing, I can't tell you enough! I love seeing Teddy's progress and look forward to seeing more piccys of him and his new family!
Also a massive thank you to his new family, making him so welcome and loving him just as much as my four babies and I love him.

I just wanted to say a massive Thankyou to Caroline and the wonderful and caring team at LUKAG. Our decision was an extremely hard one to make but deep down we knew that we had to re-home our 11 month old puppy to a new home where she could get the all the attention that she so desperately needed. From messaging the charity and getting such a quick response. I was overwhelmed, talking to Caroline made me feel such at ease and most certainly never judged. When the arranged day of transporting her to her new home came, we had a lovely lady called Chrissie who took her, she was very caring and gave me a hug of reassurance. I’m sure her job isn’t a very easy one to do. Receiving photos of her journey from the car to her new home and owners was greatly appreciated and made us feel so happy to know that we’d made the right decision. To have regular updates and photos has been such a piece of mind and so happy to see her having the best time.
I honestly can’t thank you enough and just know that her new owners were such a great match. So perfect that it was written in the stars!! ✨

We would like to say a big thank you to Sharon and Jules for all of their help, and support during a difficult situation. We had made the heartbreaking decision to re-home our Labrador, and Lab Rescue made a horrible situation more bearable for us. They were there every step of the way, and always kept us updated. They found an amazing home for our lab, so quickly.
We're so glad we came across this charity, and they have done what's best for our lovely girl. It's so reassuring to know that our beautiful girl is in the best home getting the time and attention she deserves.
We're looking forward to seeing more updates on her progress.
Thanks again, you guys are amazing x

I just want to say thank you so much to Labrador UK action group. I had to make the hardest decision of my life recently by re-homing my 9 month old best friend. This was due to work commitments and personal circumstances. From day one Sharon gave me so much support and kept me updated.
Pat came to pick him up yesterday to transport him to his new forever home, I tried to hold back the tears, but they just flowed, Pat was amazing and gave me such a big hug and reassured me he was going to be loved so much in his new home. Thank you so much for making this horrendous time easier for me.

We cannot thank Caroline enough, we had to make the toughest decision of our lives when we were told we were expecting twins, having already had 2 children we wouldn't have time to give Ted the love care and full attention he deserves and needed so we make the most difficult decision to re home him. Caroline has been amazing since the day Caroline came to rehome him we have had regular updates about Ted. Caroline has fully understood how hard it was for us to part with him but knew it was the right thing to do. I honestly cannot thankyou enough our minds are at rest that Ted is happy and well cared for and that is all we can ask.
Thankyou x

Our heartbroken family can not thank Sharon and the rest of the team for all their help, hardworking and support during one of the most difficult times. Our gorgeous puppy dog always struggled with anxiety but when he became more aggressive with people approaching him, we were advised to rehome as we had young children.
Sharon was so kind and found a foster home that our dog could go to so he could be more socialised, she worked tirelessly and even picked up the dog from myself and walked with me with our dog until he got used to her. She had others come to meet the dog to assess his needs and always had him at the heart of everything. We still miss him gently but know our house did not fit his needs and we know he is in the best hands. Thank you to everyone who has helped, you are all so very kind hearted and we are forever in debt to you all.

After we had to make the difficult decision to rehome our lab due to not having the time he needs and deserves anymor,e Labrador UK action group were brilliant from the start. Jules always answered any questions I had very quickly and was very supportive and kind through out. They even provided transport to his new home.
After he had settled they sent an update and pictures after a few days. I feel reasured that he is happy in his new home and will be well looked after, which is all I could hope for.

It was with a very heavy heart that our family realised that we would have to re-home our 14 month old puppy dog lovingly known as Mr Waggy Tail but we weren’t sure of the safest way to go about it.
We were in a very dog friendly cafe when we noticed on the table a magazine from the Labrador Lifeline Trust. I’d never heard of the organisation but that afternoon I gave them a call and explained our predicament. The very nice lady said she would ask someone from the Labrador UK Action Group (LUKAG) to give me a call.
Within the hour the lovely Sharon was on the phone. After taking the relevant details she said she would get in touch with our local centre and get back to me the following day. True to her word she advised that they could take our lad and she would put the wheels in motion for us.
Sharon made what was a heartbreaking decision so much easier, she didn’t judge our reasons she was just super helpful and compassionate throughout. I will be forever grateful to Sharon and LUKAG for their help but mostly for Sharon’s understanding. Thank you with all my heart. xx

I cannot thank Sharon enough for making the rehoming of our beautiful Buster so smooth and easy, it was not an easy decision but one I had to make and she has made the whole process a little less heart breaking, I was not judged at all and she really understood my situation. I can now settle knowing he is in a loving home with a family that will have him forever. The photo update that we were sent on the same day he was rehomed really put my mind at rest, thank you again for all your help and support!

I can't thank Jules and her team enough. Finding a new home for Monty was one of the hardest things we had to do. We tried a private rehoming and it didn't work out. Which was even more heartbreaking.
So we turned to Jules for help. One phonecall and I instantly knew Monty would be in good hands. It was a smooth handover process and the photo updates have been greatfully received. At such a difficult and emotional time the whole process was made easier because of Jules and her wonderful team.
Thank you

We can't thank you enough for your help finding a home for Tills. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond what we expected. The photo update of her in her new home was very much appreciated. Would fully recommend you anyone needing help finding their Labrador a home.

I had to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome my beautiful lab after a change in circumstances meant he was spending too much time on his own. Jules and her team have been so helpful, finding a lovely new family for Marley. I am really grateful for their help and support through a really tough time. x

Well I don't know where to start Freddie was my best friend and i miss him so much. I cant bring myself to clean the spot on the sofa where he'd lay next to me . It was the hardest decision I've ever had to make as we all loved him so much except our very disabled daughter who had to come first, after praying she would except him and trying our best we had to say goodbye and it has broke my heart completely . Your understanding and help is appreciated more than you know and knowing our boy went to his new home straight away and seeing pictures has helped...although I feel I'll always went to know how he's doing . He gave us so much . I wish things were different but since I don't have a magic wand I know this was the best option for Freddie. I'm forever grateful xx

Due to family issues i had to make the heartbreaking decision to rehome my labrador. Sharon from Labrador UK Action Group got in touch and offered the assistance of the charity to help me do this safely. This took all the worry away knowing that relevant home checks would be done before he was rehomed as this isn't something i would have been able to do myself. The support i have received has been invaluable and made a very distressing situation easier to cope with. A massive thanks to Sharon and anyone else involved in caring for Zico.

Dear Jules,
We just wanted to say a massive thank you for arranging collection and transportation of Jessie. Trina, the transporter, was lovely as I said a tearful goodbye to her as was Alison who organised things very quickly for us
It has been a tough weekend without our furbaby but I know we have made the right decision for Jessie.
My daughter would love updates of how she is getting on and we can't thank you enough for the compassion shown to us and to Jessie as we had to make a heartbreaking decision.
We really hope you will keep in contact with updates if possible and thank you again for helping us. We hope Jessie finds a lovely home and she is happy.
Thanks again,
Laura xx

Hi Jules. Thank you so much for the email and the lovely photos. It has been a really difficult day and it helped to see him looking happy. Deciding to have black lab Rocky re-homed was one of the hardest and most heartbreaking choice I've ever made. Myself and my kids were heartbroken but the Lab trust have been amazing and Jules has constantly kept me up-to-date on his progress and has sent me a photo which has helped beyond words. Rocky is still my boy who I love massively but I know what we did was the correct thing and I know that him going to the lab trust was the right thing. Couldn't recommend them enough, they have been and still are amazing and my family and I can't thank you all enough. Xxxxxxxx

Would like to say a massive well deserved thank you to Lisa Taylor, she was very helpful and supported us during a very sad time, unfortunately we had to make the upsetting decision to re-home our lovely Labrador Hollie, Lisa made the arrangements for Hollie to be collected the day after the first initial contact and I have since had an update and photos of Hollie in her foster home and I'm happy to say she looks very settled and happy and has made a new friend, another Labrador so thank you for all that you did for us and Hollie xx

“Having finally made the most painful decisions to rehome our boy, getting in touch with LUKAG was the best move we made. From the very first conversation, they were compassionate and understanding about our situation and put us at ease instantly about our decision. Our coordinator (Sharon) was brilliant, she liaised with us at every step and made all the difficult calls and arrangements for us. Sharon made us fully aware of what was happening, all the while showing us complete empathy for what we were going through with Harry. When we handed Harry over, John and Helen were so lovely and caring, they were very clear about what was happening and how Harry would be taken care of. Harry went off a happy dog with John and Helen but watching him leave broke our hearts! Knowing that Labrador Lifeline Trust has Harry’s best interests at heart, we know that he will go on to a great family and have the best life! We miss him so much but we had to do what was right for him. The support and understanding shown by all at LUKAG has been a great help to me personally. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the team if you need assistance or if you’re looking for to provide a forever home.”
Again, I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done for us Sharon, I am completely devastated and it’s broken my heart but I know it’s all for the best.
Many thanks
Emma

Hello Lisa,
Would just like to say thanks again for sorting all this out for us. We appreciate your true honesty and your professional advice. We are currently on our way. Barny in the boot in his bed. Laying down and sometimes checking out what's happening out the window.
Hope you've had a lovely weekend.
Also here's a few snaps of Barny in his final journey with us :'(

When a dog I had trained as an assistance dog was in need of a new home the help LUKAG gave us was amazing. Jules treated the owners with respect whilst ensuring the best outcome for the dog. It was not a simple rescue and needed an organised team effort from Jules and her transport volunteers. I was kept informed all the way and, of course, the Lab was treated like royalty throughout.
I know he is now in a great new home and am kept updated every so often, many thanks to LUKAG and East Midlands Labrador Rescue that took him and found the most fantastic new home.
